With its whimsical sets, beautifully tended gardens, twinkling fairy lights, and picturesque setting on the shores of Lake Merritt, our enchanting park is an ideal venue for festivities of all kinds. We’ve hosted fairytale-theme weddings, fanciful grownup birthdays, and a variety of other imaginative events.

For truly dramatic events, we offer Aesop’s Playhouse, the colorful home of our children’s theater. The playhouse, which opened in June 2008, has a large main stage, a smaller festival stage, an ample backstage area, and canopied seating for nearly 200 guests

Fairyland is available for private-event rental any time the park is closed to the public, weather permitting. (See our schedule here.)
