What Happens at Summer Camp?
Children’s Fairyland summer day camp gives kids an opportunity to learn and grow through the performing arts. Each session is organized around a tale from a different world culture, which the children learn and perform on the last day of the session.

Included in your session fee are:

  • Two healthy snacks a day
  • Camp T-shirt
  • Magic Key to unlock our talking storybook boxes
  • Time with Fairyland’s animals, puppets, gardening, and arts and crafts

Each day begins at 9 a.m. (an optional before-camp extension begins at 8). After sign-in and group warm-up, we begin the day’s activities with story reading and performance games. We break for a snack twice a day, and have an hour for playtime and lunch. (Your child may bring lunch from home, or you may order a discount lunch package from our Johnny Appleseed Café.) After more games involving acting, dancing, or singing, we end the day with a rehearsal of our chosen play. The camp day ends at 5 p.m.; an optional after-camp extension goes until 6pm.

We also schedule special activities during each week of camp—a day just for getting to know Fairyland, some “up close and personal” time with our animals, planting in our beautiful gardens, a backstage tour with our puppeteers, and arts and crafts activities.

Every Friday is “show day,” when family and friends are invited to watch the play our campers have prepared for you. We guarantee you’ll be impressed!
