How do
I register my child?
Choose from four convenient ways:
- submit a
form on line at
Summer Day Camp Registration
- print out
the
registration form and fax it to (510)
452-2261
- come by
the park and pick up a Summer Day Camp flier
- call us at
510 452-2259 and we will fax or mail a flier
to you.
How will I know
whether my child is accepted into summer day
camp?
We will email your confirmation letter and
packet to a valid email address. This saves
paper and postage and is environmentally
friendly!
What if I
don’t have email?
No problem! We will fax or mail a confirmation
letter and packet to you.
I lost my
confirmation packet. How do I get a new one?
Contact the Programs Supervisor at
programs@fairyland.org
or call (510) 452-2259 and let us know.
I never
received a confirmation packet—what should I do?
Contact the Programs Supervisor at
programs@fairyland.org
or call (510) 452-2259 and verify that your
request has been received.
What is the
age range for Fairyland summer camp?
Fairyland summer camp is for children age 5
(kindergarten) through 10. We ask that our
campers have had an experience of being
separated from their parents. Please keep in
mind that our camp is an all-day event, 9 a.m.
to 5 p.m.
What is
before- and after-care, and how much does it
cost?
Before and after care provide convenient,
adult-supervised extensions of the camp
experience. Before care starts at 8 a.m.; after
care ends at 6 p.m. Cost is $30 for before care
and $30 for after care for the entire week.
What forms
of payment do you accept?
We accept MasterCard, Visa, cash, and cashier
checks. We regret that Fairyland does not accept
personal checks.
Is food
included?
We provide morning and afternoon snacks each
day. Lunches are not included, although do offer
campers the opportunity to purchase a discounted
lunch—just $4—at our Johnny Appleseed Café. Kids
may choose from a variety of menu offerings.
Campers may also bring lunch from home.
Why do I
need to walk my camper into Fairyland?
For safety reasons, we ask that a parent or
guardian walk his or her camper into the
check-in point. We require an adult’s signature
when the child is dropped off and picked up.
What should
I do if we’re late?
Just enter the park through the shoe entrance.
Please tell the cashier and we’ll let you know
where to take your camper.
What if I
need to pick up my camper early?
Please inform the camp director that morning
about your early pick-up time.
May I
register for more than one week of camp?
Absolutely! We offer a 20% discount if you
register your child(ren) for six or more weeks.
Do you have a
scholarship program?
We're proud to announce that due to generous
donations from
The Lake Merritt Breakfast Club and
The Grubb Company, we are able to offer
partial Summer Camp scholarships! To get more
information about our scholarship program,
please send us an
email.
