Throughout our history, Children’s Fairyland has been fortunate to enjoy the generous support of the business community. It was a local business owner, Arthur Navlet, who first conceived of Fairyland in 1948. And it was thanks to the enthusiastic sponsorship of a still-thriving business group, the Lake Merritt Breakfast Club , that Fairyland became a reality.

Today, our corporate partners contribute in many important ways to our mission. Their support includes:
 

• underwriting specially themed events or days at Fairyland, such as the multicultural storytellers’ series sponsored by Target, the monthly book-character event sponsored by Barnes & Noble, and Fenton’s Ice Cream Weekend

• donating plants and soil amendments to our renowned gardens

• donating feed and veterinary services to our beloved animal program

• becoming a sponsor of our annual Gala

• contributing auction items to the Gala

• becoming a sponsor of our Jack O’Lantern Jamboree
