Children’s Fairyland warmly welcomes guests with learning differences, sensory sensitivities, and disabilities of any kind.

We offer a safe, familiar environment with engaging storybook sets surrounded by gardens. We are dedicated to making Fairyland a community in which all children can feel comfortable exploring, be celebrated for who they are, and have agency in their play and learning. We are also invested in being responsive to caregivers’ and teachers’ individual needs. Please email or call 510-452-2259, if you have any questions regarding park accessibility.

Plan Your Visit

Parking

As you pull onto Bellevue Ave., there is a drop-off zone on the right-hand side past the parking kiosk. Guests may be dropped off at the white curb and follow the paved path up toward the main entrance. There are several parking spaces available for guests with accessibility placards. For parking, the City of Oakland charges $2 for two hours on weekdays and $10 for a full weekday. Weekend and holiday parking is $5.

Days with Fewer Guests

Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays often have lower attendance and noise levels. Please note, however, that Monday holidays such as Presidents’ Day and Labor Day may be busy. See Park Hours for our seasonal schedule.

It is important on all rides to stay on the ride while it is in motion.

If you or someone in your party are unable to wait in a ride line due to a physical or cognitive condition, you can check out a wristband that will allow you to wait in a separate queuing area. If this is something that would be helpful, please see staff at the Rainbow Desk for assistance. The Rainbow Desk is located inside our Gift Shop. Although the wristband does not provide immediate access to a ride, it will reduce the wait time.

Service Animals

Fully trained service animals leashed via a harness or collar are welcome at Children’s Fairyland. No therapy or emotional-support animals are permitted. Please see our Service Animal Policy here
