An Oakland tradition for 20 years, this multicultural event brings families together to share in the season’s many festivities and enjoy a twinkling landscape under the evening skies.

Holiday celebrations across the globe share one common thread at the end of the year: light! Be it a joyful tree sparkling with cheer, a sacred candle holder telling a story with each burning votive, a glowing lantern signifying triumph, a welcoming home decked out in strings of dancing bulbs, or the embers of a flickering fire, it is the light that ushers the way for new beginnings, familial togetherness, hope, peace, and love.

Countdown to Wonderland!

Ball-drop Celebrations: 12 p.m. & 3 p.m.
Included with General Admission
Kiddos love a New Year’s countdown. Grownups love bedtime staying on schedule. Fairyland’s Noon Year’s Eve is the best of both worlds, wrapped in Alice in Wonderland whimsy! Ring in 2026 with a proper daytime countdown complete with a festive ball drop, joyful surprises, and plenty of time to still be tucked in before dark.
Families can look forward to Wonderland-themed arts and crafts, a dance party in the Merry Meadow, whimsical puppet shows, a Mad Tea Party photo moment, a flurry of bubbles, a fizzy “Shrinking Drink” toast, noise makers, a White Rabbit cameo, and more delightful Wonderland surprises throughout the park.
