Art Exhibition
November 2-3 and 9-10
At Fairyland, we’re proud to host a Día de los Muertos art exhibit within the walls of our gorgeous chapel and mysteriously placed throughout the park. The curated artwork and objects of beauty are all created by local artists in grades TK-5 at Global Family Elementary School/Escuela de la Familia Global in Oakland!
The art, decorations, ofrendas, statues, flowers, calaveras, paper mache, papel picado, and other stunning embellishments associated with Días de los Muertos are absolutely iconic and explosively colorful. This boldly vibrant and joyous way of remembering the dearly departed makes the holiday well loved by so many people, including those who are newcomers to the tradition, one that is as sacred as it is celebratory.
When you visit the park during the first two weekends of November, you’ll find a feast for your senses awaits you and your family. Make your way over to the exhibit in our Chapel of Peace to see the stunning magic created by 450 inspired elementary artists.
