The Children’s Fairyland Book Festival returns on Saturday, June 3, 2023!
Join us for a day where Bay Area’s talented book creators and our entire community come together to celebrate the latest, newest BOOKS. What an incredible way to launch into your summer!

We are excited to welcome our guest host and beloved Oakland teacher, the amazing Mr. Limata, for a whole day of literacy and joy! Be inspired by stories shared through diverse representation in children’s literature. Celebrate our incredible 8-12 year old Youth Writers. Get your hands busy with book making activities hosted by MOCHA. Visit the Oakland Public Library’s book nook. Support your local bookstore and community hub, The Collective Oakland.
