Children’s Fairyland is a whimsical 10-acre storybook park on the shores of Oakland’s Lake Merritt, designed for families with little ones (ages 0-8). Explore magical playsets, meet friendly animals, watch puppet shows, and enjoy rides, live performances and hands-on fun in a safe, outdoor wonderland. Sparking imagination and joy since 1950!

Mad Magic!

Oct. 31 | 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. | Special Event
Oakland’s trick-or-treating extravaganza returns! Halloween at Fairyland’s Mad Magic transforms the Park into a radioactive lab bubbling over with Bouncy Houses, themed arts & crafts, live performances, STEM activities, scavenger hunts, and of course, candy! Costumes encouraged, not required.

Dia de los Muertos at Fairyland is alive with mariachi performances, a brand new Book Celebration with author Sara Andrea Fajardo, special guest appearances, and a spirited art exhibition featuring curated objects of beauty and artwork created by students from Escuela de la Familia Global in Oakland.
